Design and Create the Classic Pajama Pant!

Location: Springfield Recreation

100 S Springfield Ave, Springfield NJ

Wednesdays for 5 weeks, Oct 27th, Nov 10th, 17th, December 1st, & 8th

(December 15th as a Make up Weather day)

4:30-6:00 p.m. (Grades 2nd-10th, Ages 7-15) 

No sewing experience necessary. Co-ed classes. 

Cost: $195 (includes fabrics, trims, and sewing supplies as well as use of sewing machines. If a student has their own machine they know how to use, feel free to bring it along!) 

Registration (min max) if any: Min 6 max 12 students (Earlier Class ages 8 and up) Fee: $195

Have you ever dreamed of becoming a fashion designer? Your dreams can come true! In all of our classes, we walk you through all of the fashion design steps and show you what it takes to be a fashion designer. 

For this season, we will be recreating the classic style of cozy Pajama Pants!  On the east coast our fall and winter seasons can get chilly, so what project can be more perfect than some cozy pj bottoms? This project is great for any young designer who really wants to grow in creating clothes. We will create matching scrunchies and other accessories as the time allows. You will start with sketching and rendering your design. Measuring, pinning and cutting out your design. Already know how to use a sewing machine? Great! Otherwise we will teach you. 

The class fee includes all fabric, trims, notions and use of the sewing machines. If you have your own machine and want to bring it to class and use it that’s great, please do! You can bring your machine starting the second week of class. Sew your garment together then fit the design to work for you, lastly finish the design. At the end of the classes we will hold a virtual fashion show to share with your family.

Social distancing will be followed throughout the 5-week sessions to keep us all safe. Face masks are mandatory. Supplies will be passed out and used solely by the individual designer.
